Viva Brazil Restaurant
The project: Remove the old bank back to a shell and fit out a new restaurant.
The old bank was set over 2 floors, vaults and offices in the basement with customer area’s and offices on the ground floor.
We stripped the building back to a shell and installed the toilets to the basement, keeping the old vault as a feature and an acknowledgement of the buildings history.
The ground floor was renovated to provide a dedicated bar area for drinks without a meal, salad bar area, kitchen and dining areas. the kitchen was positioned so most diners could see the huge Brazilian BBQ (churrascaria) that cooks up to 60 skewers simultaneously.
The finish was in a traditional Brazilian style, with wood details, new floors, fixed bench booth seats as well as regular chairs, mosaic tiles and copper kitchen finishes.
